School has started up once again, and not everyone is as organized as they want to be. Yes, you probably have all of your school supplies, but does that really mean you have everything in order? Let’s be real, being a high school student is hard, not everyone has the skills to stay on top of their work and stay neat and tidy. Sometimes us high school students just need some tips on how to stay organized:
Write Everything In a Planner
-No one has a perfect memory, writing down your homework, tests, and what events you have on a certain day will help you remember more than just hearing what the teacher said
-Your brain will be less anxious, because now it doesn’t have to be a storage device

Use Sticky Notes
-Put a sticky note on your mirror or door and write a reminder on it for the morning. This will help because it’s one of the first things you see when you wake up.
Do Small Tasks Immediately
-If a task only takes up to 5 to complete, do that immediately after you hear about it. This will make you feel like you are getting more done, rather than have a bunch of little tasks that you still have to complete.
Create a Good Studying Environment
-Depending on how you study best, either with silence or music, create your study spot based on this.
-Make sure your phone is out of sight, that way you don’t get distracted by any social media because let's be honest, we all do.Each Night Pick Your Outfit
-In order to make your morning less stressful, pick out your outfit the night before. This will make the start of your day much better.
-You’ll also have more time in the morning either to sleep or study
Color Code Your School Supplies
-I got this idea from some of my friends that do this at school. They say it makes it “way easier to know which subject is which”
-Buy a certain color binder and notebook for one subject, and pick different colors for every other subject
College will be coming up soon, whether we are looking forward to it or not. We will be without most of our friends and parents, so we need to learn how to develop skills in order to be successful in school. One of the most important is clearly being organized because it takes stress off of us, and helps us keep track of important due dates.
