New Disney Movies

Disney is constantly making new movies that we all love. But, do we always remember the classics? Disney is bringing them back! The Lion King, Aladdin, Dumbo, and many more are coming to theaters in 2019. Here are a few live-action films being recreated that the internet won’t stop talking about!

The Lion King

Did someone say nostalgic? Disney’s ‘Lion King’ is coming in a new live-action remake in 2019. The trailer got over 224 million views in 24 hours! Talk about exciting. With Elton John and Hanz Zimmer returning, how could we not want to watch this? The original Lion King movie was released in 1994, over 25 years ago. Disney can’t make good remakes, can they? Well, I think everyone is excited to see this, so I think we can give it a try.

Aladdin

Any Will Smith fans? Well, did you ever see him as a genie? Disney’s 1992 film of Aladdin is coming back as a live-action film! After Smith released to the public he will be the genie in the new film, he received 2.6 million likes and more than 85,000 comments in less than 8 hours. The movie should hit theaters in May, 2019. “Aladdin” also stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. Billy Magnussen plays Prince Anders and Nasim Pedrad is Dalia.

Dumbo

March 29… 2019… Live-action…. DUMBO! Disney’s 1941 movie ‘Dumbo’ is being recreated into a live-action film by Tim Burton will star Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito. Farrell will cast as Holt Farrier, who takes care of newborn Dumbo, where his big ears are for laughs, until Farrier realizes Dumbo can fly. Child stars Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker play Holt's kids, who end up loving Dumbo. The trailer, of course, has some moments, such as a heart breaking scene where Dumbo's mom is taken away from him in a circus cage. Hopefully the new live-action version will have the same amount of heart as the original.
