Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle

In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, throughout your week it is important to stay healthy and continue to exercise. It is important that every person gets at least 30 min of exercise everyday. Exercise helps keep you healthy, keeps your body in shape, and it also helps you get quality sleep at night. You can do many different things to exercise. With spring sports coming up it is good to participate in an activity such as tennis, track, or soccer. Not only can you participate in activities to stay healthy and well exercised, but you can also have fun and do something that you enjoy. Not only does exercise help you stay healthy, but also eating well can help. A good thing to do is after you exercise, you can drink a protein shake. Drinking a protein shake after you exercise keeps your muscles from getting tight so you will not be as sore in the morning, it helps you get more protein in your diet, and it also, if you find the right kind, tastes good. Another thing that is good to a healthy eating style is lower your amounts of candy and pop. But the most important thing is to drink plenty of water. You should really drink at least 64 ounces of water. Water helps keep you full so you are not hungry all the time as well as it is healthier than drinking things such as pop and juice.

I personally exercise 5 days a week for about 3 hours. I dance all the time as well as I am on the track team. Not only does exercising help me stay healthy and keep me in shape, but I also find it fun. Exercising while doing something you enjoy makes it better and easier. After I exercise I roll out whatever I worked on as well as drinking a protein shake so that when I wake up in the morning I am not as sore. Not only do I exercise throughout the week, but I also try and eat healthier. I do not really eat or drink pop or candy. I also try and lower my carb intake. You can eat anything you want in moderation, but if you are trying to eat healthier portion control is key. Not only do I try and eat healthier, but I try and drink 64 ounces of water a day. I carry my water bottle with me all day, so that once I start to get hungry I drink water instead. Overall, everything is good in moderation, but you should really exercise at least 30 min a day, drink lots of water, and try not to eat as much junk food in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
