Have you ever wanted a device that tracks how many calories you burn, what your heart rate is, or how long your workouts last? This dream has turned into a reality these past couple years. There are many benefits to using a fitness tracker, including increased motivation and confidence, safety, and goal setting.
What types of fitness trackers can you buy? They can often be expensive, and you want the bang for your buck. Here are a few devices and prices!

After purchasing a fitness and activity tracker, motivation levels skyrocket. Why though? Rather than exercise being a chore, it is made more into a game or competition while wearing this watch. These watches track your activity, the calories you burn, and how much your heart rate goes up. These factors make people more excited to workout, and see exactly how they did.
Confidence is the most important thing a person can wear. I’m sure you’ve heard that one before, but it’s true! Fitness watches can make you more confident! People are able to get more in shape, lose the weight they wanted, or become stronger, but only if they work towards it. The watch itself will not increase confidence, it’s the work you put in with your watch on that will make you believe in yourself more.
Watches keeping you safe? Never heard of such a thing until now. Those with heart issues or other medical issues can use these watches to keep track of their heart rate, sleep monitoring, and sometimes even blood pressure with certain watches. These sets of data will let someone know if their blood pressure or heart rate is too high or low, and let someone know if they need help with sleeping or insomnia. Not only do these watches keep data for healthy living, they also have an emergency service. You can call 911 on certain watches if you are in trouble, which increases people’s confidence while wearing them.
Goal setting is an important aspect in life in general, but let’s get into the fitness goals. Fitness trackers are beneficial when trying to set a new goal because they are able to give you data on how your workouts go. To set a goal to achieve for your next workout sesh, look at the data and make a realistic goal. Here are some tips on how to set a good fitness goal!
1. Make it specific. State exactly what you want to accomplish
2. Measureable is key. Use smaller mini goals to measure your process
3. You need to make it achievable. It has to be reasonable in order to be achieved
4. Be realistic. Set a goal that is relevant to your life.
5. Timely. Give yourself enough time, but set a deadline
I cannot review every single fitness tracker out there, but one I can personally review is the Apple Watch Series 3. I wear this fitness tracker every day, and I mostly look at my heart rate, calories I’ve burned, how many hours I’ve been standing, reminders, and messages. Not only does this fitness tracker give me data on my exercise, but it also gives me my reminders from my iphone, and my messages (very convenient if you don’t want to carry your phone with you). I can confidently say that ever since I received my apple watch, I have exercised more and focused on my breathing, making myself overall healthier! I recommend the apple watch for anyone who has goals to become a healthier individual
